Slowest opening day

This has been slowest opening day I can ever remember. I have seen deer but almost no shooting. Maybe 10 shots within a mile.

Anyone else notice this?

Not much banging around here either. I don't think guys get pumped for the gun opener like the old days....everbody seems to bow hunt now days too.....

In my area it was a pretty good morning. I had 6 run into me and saw 3 more going home. Then saw 4 or 5 more running. Quite a bit of shooting was going on too.

Lots of shots near me and I didn't see a deer. Have never sat on this property and not seen a deer opening day of gun season. Its in the middle of gambier something is wrong.

Talked to my neighbors. No one got a deer. Very unusual. Still some shots near me but not a lot.

There was less than normal shooting around us today too. Less deer means less targets.

For sure. I feel like its felt like that for a while. Not near the overall traffic.

Only one deer seen tonight.

I normally have neighbors who drive. None even did drives today like usual. Maybe more are bowhunting. Idk.
