Idk guys. He should have been 150yds away tops bedded down dead. Coyotes must have pushed him. We grid searched hard and came up with nothing. Sickening. Thanks a lot for the help Gordo!
 
Damn man, sorry to hear that. Been a rough go of it so far! I hope it pans out over the last few days of your vacation! If not, there is always late season!!!
 
I did find the doe I shot last week though. And a deadhead 8pt. Really nice buck. But no luck with mine. Doesn't make since to me. I did what I should have. I slipped out quietly and gave him plenty plenty of time. 22 hours. Really thought he would bed down 100 yards off. I watched him after the shot for nearly 5 mins and he had to muster a lot of energy to move.
 
The reason I'm claiming coyotes pushing him is because they have been tearing up the little Doe I had shot. I got really excited this morning when I saw all the buzzards and birds of prey flocking around something right where I thought the buck went. Turns out it was the doe. What a waste.
 
We gave it a hell of an effort. He's definitely not there.
