1 million each to my mom ad mom in law.

that leaves 8.

2 million split evenly between the kids.

that leaves 6.

2 million to buy a big chunk of prime wooded property with a small yet nice house for the missus and I. a couple nice vehicles and some farming implements. that out to get an outfitting business started so I can quit work and still make a few bucks doing something I actually enjoy.

The remaining 4 million would be invested.

Yep, the family is happy, I can relax and work my own hours / schedule, and the interest should keep my wife and myself comfortable.

I would buy my kids a house and a couple of cars. No cash money, as I want them to earn their own living and learn to be good stewards, but that would allow them to easily pay bills. And of course, I would give my parents a huge chunk.

Then I would buy about 500 acres of land and have my own house sitting right in the middle of it. Peace and quiet!

We would then donate 1 million to our school system to be used only for a wrestling facility and an aquatic center.

Around here a few yrs back a guy in Lyons won the $240,000,000 powerball. he wanted to build a new baseball field for a local school but the state blocked it. Seems that if you donate $$ to a school for sports you have to spend equal money on boys/girls.

I would give my parents a mil, the ol ladys mom would get 500,000 since she's 75 and don't need a mil. I would buy my brother a house on a few acres since he seems to think he don't have the cash to buy one. There's about 1.8 mil. I would buy around 500 acres in SE Ohio to hunt with a medium size log cabin on it. The woman would want a horse and I wouldn't mind having one. I need a big ass diesel truck, and the rest goes in the bank.

You are right. We thought about that. That is where the Aquatic Center comes in.

I would build a family compound and ensure a nice retirement for my parents and have a space where my siblings and their families could live.

Travel the state and buy lunch for every TOOzer.

Give some money away.

Buy a small business and turn it into a family venture, maybe an oil pumping company or a construction company.

And then a hobby farm to live on...

My Dad gets a twinkle in his eye when he talks about his 1964 Ford Galaxy. That'd be the absolute first "fun" purchase I'd make after paying off all of my and my wife's immediate family's debt

I'd buy a train locomotive and go half a mph through crossings.

Ride a donkey around dressed like Jesus and have people put palm frons down for the donkey to walk on.

Buy a seat on the executive board of a corporation then show up and sleep after demanding I get a pet monkey.

Buy everything jar of peanut butter in a wal Mart. Then rerun it.

Have a guy follow me around with a boom box and the Rocky theme playing.

Buy a Prius and get in rush hour traffic. Get in front of other prius's and go 20 mph slower than they were.

Start a charity. "AK-47's for the homeless."

Apparently when you are a millionaire it gives you free license to be a dick...

I was walking in to the local gas station on Saturday and opened the door for a feller who got out of a fancy H2 Hummer with Texas plates. Sum bitch looked right at me and didn't say a word, so I say "you're welcome" after he walked past and still no reaction. As I'm checking out, the lady behind the counter tells him she liked his CD and that's when it clicked. It was Jason Michael Carroll who just played at a local homecoming. So when I went back out, I couldn't help myself: "I guess when you're a famous musician you don't have to thank people for opening the door for you since it is expected." Fucker just looked at me and got in the Hummer with out saying a word. Dickweed...

If I had 10mil?

Get out of debt. Get my grandma, mom, and sister's houses paid off and get them debt free. Buy a big RV to travel and live in while investing the rest and living off the interest.

Aslo drop a cool mil for TOO and the future TOO hunting property/hunting camp lol

I would be sure that my immediate family had no worries. I would buy a nice chunk of land close to family with a pond and plenty of woods. I would work, but it would be working for myself. Gardening, yardwork, canning vegetables, etc. I would use it as an opportunity to live a LOT simpler life! Sad that it would take that much money to revert to the good ole' days.

I honestly have everything I really want. To get 10 million really wouldn't change things much. I'd most likely pay off my kids mortgages and maybe get them all a new vehicle. I've already got my land to hunt on and where I live is good enough for me. Guess when your in your 60's you really don't need much. Guess thats why I don't play the lottery.

I pretty much feel the same. You and Drake fit my description pretty well. I don't see it changing me much. I would still cut my firewood, grow my garden, go hunting, etc. I like Redcloud's idea of traveling by RV. I think the biggest thing for me would be the ability to do the same things I currently do but minus the stress. Adding a large tract of recreational/hunting land would happen, but outside of this I don't see much different.
