My son in law just bought a Nissan Frontier and is now in the truck world, upgrading from his venerable Subaru. (As he was showing it off, I asked him if the dealer had called to schedule him for his fitting - he said "Fitting? For what?" and I says "For testicles, now that you have a truck!") As a congratulatory gift (and because I'm so enthusiastic about mine <thanks @JOHNROHIO >) I bought him a rollup tonneau cover.

While thankful, he laments the loss of carrying space he had in his Subaru. He really could stuff a ton of shit in that thing.
He came across these soft tops www.softopper.com and asked me what I thought of them.
I told him I had zero experience, had never even seen one before on a pickup truck.
So does anyone have any input for him?

As someone who's owned Subarus for over a decade i resemble er RESENT that remark
Honestly, I've got nothin' but respect for the Subaru....SIL has sold me on them, along with other people who have them - great engineering and reliability, great features, great safety. And he really did pack a lot of cargo.

Subaru - you can get your shit packed in that car, and (unlike the drivers) it can't be licked!

Bought a matching cap for mine.

I have a trifold cover now but would really like to get a cap for out of state trips. I was looking at these https://flated.com/ caps which are inflatable. I know they wouldn't be worth a shit for overnight security, but most of the states I hunt are 8-10 hr trips with our own non hotel lodging when we arrive. Thoughts would be to load up the rear, then when we arrive unload and pull the top off for the time we will be there to hunt.

Or save $1,600 and don't over pack! LOL
