Some hope for 2012...

I've heard in the past that if turnips are new to an area deer wont' dig them up. I heard if you dig a few up and they get to eat them they will work for the others.... Dont know how truthful this is but might be worth a shot??.....best of luck to ya man.

I have heard this as well, but I've planted them on this farm before. It's been a couple of years though, so maybe it wouldn't hurt to dig up some. Good thinking TW!

Damn. I gotta plant it and serve it up on a platter! Lazy fuggars!!! lmao

No corn within a 2-3 mile radius and nothing substantial enough to hold a lot of deer.

After hearing about the new craze at the high school just down the road from the farm, I wonder how many "Moes" were lost to poaching this fall. Our farm is part of that neighborhood and if you've ever been there, you know it's a prime piece of ground to road hunt...

Let's hope this is not the case.

I have pics of trespassers on our farm and the 60 acres where I was getting all the pics this summer.

I wouldn't think you are over pressuring the deer. Heck, you didn't even want to go hunt him with a slightly off wind. It was the trespassers mentioned earlier in the year I was curious about. You think they might be hanging around more than you have caught them on camera? This was my thought.
