AWB - doesn't have traction.
Mag - not much but a little
Registration/background checks - ugh

BGC and Regis has some serious momentum and it is one of the biggest issues to me. Being nudged in this direction is the scariest. The are also trying to attach a no transfer between states of AWB. Have no idea how that would work fuggin O'Reilly was on board with it.

A right isn't really a right anymore when you have to ask to use it...

Just ordered $400 worth of accessories for an AR I won't have until May/June. Sure hope that fugger comes in, but I wanted to order the parts before I couldn't get them any more! I've been buying 5.56 ammo TOO as we were told it was a 5.56 worthy AR. Figured if it wasn't, I could sell the ammo pretty easy!!!

I bought a ERGO Sure Grip Pistol Grip, Magpul Vertical Forend Grip MOE RVG, Surefire P2X Fury flashlight with VTAC offset mount, and Vortex Strikefire Red Dot scope. I'm not setting mine up for super long range shooting and after reading a bunch of reviews on the Vortex from guys who have shot 100 yards from there ARs with that sight, I decided it was a good purchase. I may be purchasing a Chiappa mfour-22 and if I don't like the Vortex on my AR, I'll put it on the Chiappa. I want my AR to be a lethal 100 yard gun for yotes, intruders and zombies. If I ever want to shoot long range, I can change the optics out and do so. But for now, I like the idea of the Vortex on there!

I was planning on buying one in March then all this shit happened.
Was gonna drop the money on a S&W MP15.
Now I don't know.
Ugh.

Same here...I have been doing research since August or September, and what was 1000$ is now 1500$ ..Even a M&P sport15 was over a 1000$(699$ local 2 months ago)...Plus ammo an mags prices/availability has me rethinking all of it at this point.

An AR was on my TO-DO list as well. Now that the house project is behind me and I can foresee my future budget. I was hoping to make a move after April taxes.

With this mess, I'll just wait and hope to ride things out.

Good idea.. It'll all simmer down.. And if they ban them, just go buy one out of Ponchos trunk.

I would have done the same if I hadn't got myself a decent deal. I figure it was worth $150-200 more than usual to guarantee I got one than wait and risk never owning one. I didn't feel I got raped and I definitely wouldn't do if I felt that way. Seen some Bushmasters local that are going for $2K. No way in hell I'd jump that high!

Its crazy the prices I have seen around here. I am glad I got mine when I did. Ammo is getting better, but like I said, you just have to stop by places every day to find it

Natchez emailed me: Federal 55 grain 5.56, case of 500, $325....availability and prices may change.

Not sure if that is a good price or good rounds, but wanted to pass it on.

Good ammo, got the same email. I was paying the same orice for a 1000 three months ago. I expect around June I will be buying it at a discount from guys that need to get some money back...

Every site I know of that is getting 5.56 in stock in the last week either sells out within 20 minutes or crashes, or both. Aimsurplus, Wideners, Midway, etc.

I'm with Beentown, assuming we don't have to meet at the Green Dragon Tavern between now and then from april/may through next december should be a buyers market on this stuff. Some people are going to over extend themselves (or already have) so at this point a wait and get it later approach may be the wisest. Eventually everyone panic buying ammo will stop as they run out of discretionary income and stock should start to remain on shelves. I'm guessing it'll take 6 months to a year before we see ammo back where it was.

Wow...that's crazy. And yea, I think you're right. I think it might be time to sit back and ride it out. I'd like to pick up some more .22's though
