Southeastern Ohio Bear

Nationwide after the 2nd bear gets hit...

Like any game, it needs hunted to keep it in check. Bears are giant raccoons. For $40 I would buy the tag just in case.

Did you know how to process your first deer? Everything new is only new the first time. In today's world, the information is at your fingertips. If you are asking how to dress a bear out, start a thread and a few of us will comment.
Oh I'm with you 100%. Just a little intimidating!!!

This will only become more common. I see a limited draw bear permit being a thing in Ohio by the end of this decade.
That would be a huge positive in my eyes! To have a species removed from endangered status in this state, to one that is managed through regulated hunting is a testament to the North American model of wildlife conservation.

I don't see it happening by the end of this decade. There will be at least a decade's worth of lawsuits before hunting is able to happen. I do see it happening before 2039 though.

If ya like putting out cameras, feeders, blinds, etc. you don’t want to have bears. We have a lot in my part of pa. I lose a ton of cams a year to bears, even with bear boxes. They even for some reason ate thru my support poles for a tower blind I built and it fell over.

If it wasn't 2021 I would go on and on about how the black bears are the worst of all the bears to have around. But since it is and it would offend someone I will refrain from telling you how trashy them black bears are. Or how 90% of them are assholes just to be assholes.
