The everyday carry and knife thread got me thinking. Excluding kitchen knives (which I have a lot of TOO), how many knives do you actually have, and are there any cool stories behind any of them? I know I have knives all over the place here.

I just commented the other day that I have so many, I've lost count and lost some. I'm sure it's north of 20. My most treasured is the Schrade Uncle Henry that my dad bought me for Christmas when I was 18. My parents got me my first bow the year before and I killed my first deer a few weeks before Christmas that next year. Dad always gave us kids one good heirloom type gift and that year, he gave me that knife as my first official hunting knife. The rest of my knives could get lost and I'd be fine, but that one will get passed on to a grandson (I hope).

I looked in one of my dresser drawers and found 7 knives, including a SAK my uncle gave me for Christmas when he was overseas in the AF. I know I will be surprised if I count all of mine TOO. Just opened my desk drawer and found my Old Timer coon skinning knife and a Buck 1 of 1000 limited edition I got for being in my buddy’s wedding.

My Grandfather's Cattaraugus 225q. They are sometimes referred to as the Quartermaster's Fighting Knife. My Grandfather was a sherman tank TC and later in the war was sent home to instruct at Fort Knox. I always admired this knife as a kid. I recently cleaned it up and put new leather washers in the handle. I am currently working on making a new sheath for it.

Haha no way! unless you are going to be my video editing bitch. I set up my go pro once to do a time lapse of me carving an axe handle with a draw knife and other hand tools. It was like 2 hours of footage. Editing it took 6 hours. Never again! These guys that have youtube channels must have unlimited time on their hands.
