Hey Chad is she related to Phils wife? Lmao J.K.
Sorry Phil but couldnt resist.lol

She'll settle down. I think she's a bit overwhelmed cause I got most of the wall taken up already and the wall ain't that big. Hopefully we'll be building the new house in 2 years.

I didn't want to take the hide down because it was the first deer I killed with my bow. Idk I think it looks OK, makes me feel better about putting it over the hide when you guys say it looks good!

Dick, there are some places with good amounts of birds in stark. I was fortunate to get into one of them last year.

It's all good. Every wife is different in this department. I know some guys on here who have killed some real studs. . . that aren't in the living room. Just saying.

Erin came home and there was another one hanging. They are both still hanging. She has her limits, but apparently I haven't exceeded them yet. lmao

Looks great Chad!

Thanks Phil! I think she was just shocked at first cause this turkey is about 3 ft high and 2 ft wide on the wall, then when this years buck gets done I'll have the wall almost completely taken up with mounts and fur LOL.

I would like a deer hide at some point. Going to try to get my daughter her first deer next year and will most likely have that hide tanned. Does look pretty cool with the turkey.

Thanks, joel.If you want nice fur and soft leather, make sure you shoot a late fall/winter deer.

A buddy of mine got lucky back in 2005 I think it was and shot a 150" 12 point that came running out of a standing corn field that he just happened to be sitting by. He got it mounted and it now sits in his parents basement covered with a sheet because his wife won't let him hang it on the wall. Its the only buck he's ever killed. Ain't no way I'd let that shit happen!

Phil, tell your wife your getting a skull mount done with your next buck but get a shoulder mount anyway. Then bring it home when she isn't there, hang it up and see if she notices. By then it'll be too late for her to say no lol

Looks great Chad! I can't wait for turkey season, and mushroom hunting, and crappie catching... Enough of this winter crap!

I razz my BIL all the time because his deer head hangs in his garage. I have 20+ mounts in my house including deer, bear, antelope, a few fish and many waterfowl mounts. Also a bunch of antlers from whitetail and mule deer, even a couple of Texas Longhorns. At my cabin I have deer and moose antlers.
