Mason and Josh went into a spot on public where Casey and I heard some birds monday. They shut up after fly down. So the boys moved around a while before getting in the truck to look around. They came across a steer that had gotten out, stopped to let the owners know and wound up gaining access to a neighbors place. The man told them to go hunting and within an hour Mason pulled the trigger. Josh could have killed the bird at 30 yards but he was across the fence where they didn’t have permission. The bird walked off and came onto the property over a hill. Josh kept him gobbling while Mason made a move and killed him.

Good karma! Sounds like those two are a great team.

They have been a good team in the woods for quite a few years now. I suppose it’s likely they will be hunting buddies for life. They are going back to the same farm in the morning before heading home.
