Squirrel Hunting with the Dogs

My son and I did a little better today. Treed 10 times. Saw 6. Killled 4. Should have had one more. Other trees had holes. Delta and Henry did well. Henry is starting to come on.
Well we hunted on Thursday afternoon at camp. Probably had about 5 trees. The one in the video below we had treed once and he bailed as we were walking in and I took a quick shot. He went up another tree close by and that is the video. The tree he went into had a hole in it. We hunted Friday morning at camp and we had a few trees, but they were all dens. Squirrels didn't seem to be moving much at all.
Came back home and Colton took the dogs this morning and had 4 trees, saw 1 but couldn't get a shot. We went this afternoon and had 5 trees. Seen 3 in the 5 trees. Got one and fired some shots towards the other 2 as they were bailing out. Today was a little better for squirrel movement. Thursday and Friday both seemed slow for where we were hunting.

Had alot of den trees today, but the squirrels seemed to be moving. The video just has the ones we saw.
No video from today. Cold and windy but we did get 8 trees. Saw 4 and killed 4. Shot better but didn’t get it on video lol
My son took the dogs this morning. Treed 15 times. Got off a few shots. Killed 1. Saw probably 8-10 squirrels. One tree had 4. Said they timbered something terrible but squirrels everywhere. Only hunted a few hours.
Slow morning with the snow coming down. Treed 6 times. Only saw 1 and killed it. Other trees had holes or nests. Didn’t even seen very many tracks in the snow. Mostly saw them where the dogs got treed. Daughter went with me and took some nice pictures.
Another tough day today. Only had 4 trees. Seen 1. He scooted before any shots could be fired and made it up another tree with a hole. Squirrels just aren't moving well. We saw another squirrel in a big tree that the dogs didn't tree. Came back over an hour later back thru that area and the squirrel was still sitting there. Yes he was alive as we saw him move the first time. Done now with Ohio for the year. May go hunt WV some, but need to get a license.
Has been a down year. We turn it around tomorrow on our annual pilgrimage to Greenfield.
