Stalker decoy

I finally did the damn thing. My whitetail Stalker decoy arrived last week. I have been in enough situations over the past few seasons to wish I had a decoy to give deer something else to focus on, but with long hikes in on public, weight and size is a huge factor. Just to be clear, yes you can stalk with these mounted to your bow. I do not personally plan on doing that. I have practiced with it on the bow and it doesn't seem to affect anything, but I plan to use it as a decoy lashed to a bush or sapling.

The thing collapses down to about a 10" circle and weighs under a pound, so it's not going to take up space in the pack or be a hindrance. I went with the Spider Wrap attachments, so it's also really quiet. I went with the taxidermy-style eyes on it since that was only about a $5 add-on.

Attached to a tree. This tree is a little big, we didn't have any saplings in the yard.

And shooting.

It's nice to have the option to attach it to a weapon, and that's a reason why I went with this over like a Montana decoy, but will my giant ass ever try to hide behind this thing? Probably not, but the odds of it happening aren't 0. I am hoping to catch the doe and fawns in the yard some evening soon and try to use the decoy to see how close they will let me get.

I don't like to draw attention to my location. I could get down with the idea and talked into thus pretty easily though. 😂
Ok, challenge accepted. You could have it sitting on the ground in front of you in case you get picked off by one of those nosy does that isn't giving you a shot opportunity. Reach up and grab it and slowly raise it to be between you and the nosy doe, soon her curiosity will bring her closer and let her guard down then thwaaaack, down she goes! Now change the nosy doe with buck of a lifetime.... :ROFLMAO:

Until that doe gets close enough to kick his ass

Awesome. Man, I’ve been kicking around getting one of these for the past two seasons. Up here I do a lot of spot and stalk hunting and I could see this being very effective in the marshes and CRP ground. Keep us posted on how you like it. I may have to take the plunge too.
