Stand advice

I'm wanting to move a stand. I'm would like to move it midday today and then stay in the stand for the evening hunt. Or should I not hunt a stand I just moved? Any advice or do/donts?

You actually have a better chance to see something from the stand the 1st day. The deer aren't use to it being there yet so they don't know to skirt it yet.

Move and hunt. Don't give them the opportunity to figure it out. Just don't go walking all over the area out in front of where you intend to put it if you can.

I do a lot of moving around this time of year. You hear stories all the time of guys killing a deer first time in.

Thanks for the advice. I did move the stand and hunt it yesterday evening. I had an 115" 8pt walk right by me after being in the stand 45 min. I think it will produce.
