Stark County late season GIANT!!!!!!!!

Well, I waited on the weather. A cold front hit and the weather dropped from the 70's to the mid 50's in just a couple of hours. I stayed off the property until that except for putting up a couple stands in August. In all reality, it was just plain luck. I had never seen this buck and had been running cams all summer. He actually followed a small doe right under my stand and I was able to get an arrow in him at 30 yards, only after missing him at 20. The story is on the nine finger chronicles podcast of anyone wants to hear the full story. I'll post the link shortly.
Well done, very nice deer!

Still think he poached it?

Only one man can answer that question. In todays whitetail world jealousy reigns supreme. Guys that kill huge bucks are many times put under the microscope by others that are jealous of his/her accomplishment. The stories surrounding this deer makes many question lots of things. But, we must remember, these are stories, that MAY have come from jealous parties. All I can say is this is one tremendous buck.

Every giant kills comes with increased scrutiny and rumors . Ever notice how many of the hunting shows make a big deal about filming them putting a tag on a critter before moving it ?

I hafta think if anything shady occurred the DNR would have confiscated it and leveled a 30-40k fine on the dude .

Just got the latest issue of North American whitetail and guess what's on the cover. Pretty good story to read along with it. Congrats again to the hunter

There goes all of Chad's hunting land! You'll be covered up in Nonresidents and city boys!
