How do you document the stimulus checks on your federal income tax. Is there some kind of W? Form ?

No, when they do taxes they just want to know you got them, if not they add it to what you have coming back or less on what you owe.

No turning my tax info to a tax guy - don't have anything on stimulus checks

Our guy just asked us which round(s) we had received. We got the first, but not the second, so the second got added to our return.

It just asks if you received, and if yes, how much. Intent is to make sure if you did not receive, that its included in your tax refund. Think of it as a check n balance or cleanup.

They were tax free, like others have said they just want to know if you did NOT get the stimulus you should have qualified for so it can be added to your refund or reduce owed taxes.
