Summit Open Shot with a Squeaking Platform

I purchased this Summit Open Shot, last year, from a guy on FB Marketplace. He said he only used it 1 year and doesn't have the time to hunt, so he sold it to me.
This year, I've noticed it having a slight squeak to it and at first I just thought it was the type of bark on the tree I was climbing. However, it has become annoyingly loud and sounds more like a screen door.

This evening I sat it on the ground and stood on it and it squeaks. So, I put it on its' side and pushed on the upper arms, in a side to side and up and down motion and that's where the squeaking noise is coming from. It's like the arms and/or platform are under some sort of metal stress and something's about to snap. This has freaked me out enough to stop using it and send an email to Summit. According to their Warranty/Policy Terms, they don't have to do anything about it. However, it would be in their best interest to offer some sort of solution, at best. ;) I'll be watching my email for a response.

Has anyone ever experienced this sort of squeaking noise with a Summit tree stand?

Update: Summit has been in touch via email. They have requested photos of the hand climber and the platform. Also, a video of the platform as it squeaks, while I'm standing on it. I'm on email #3 with photos of the serial numbers of both pieces. So far, so good, but I'm curious to see how this turns out, since it is not registered under their warranty, I paid cash and have no receipt.

Screenshot_20251002-212235.webp is this what you have? I so I have one. I love that stand. Took a lot of practice to be quiet. I don't recall loud enough squeaks to cause any concerns. It does make noises with the cables and hollow limbs connecting while climbing. When you put tension on the platform or seat it makes noise, but ive never heard a climber that doesn't Maybe lone wolf is close. Maybe wax where the cables connects inside. Once you Anchor both sections in the tree hard it shouldn't make a peep. Mines in need of replacement cables and a paint job.

Yes, that's the tree stand and it's not the cables. I wish it was, because they're easy/simple to replace.

I encourage everyone to replace the cables, every 3 years. They're super cheap and can be ordered off of Amazon, for $30ish bucks. (y)
I can't get the video off of my phone. The file is too large to email to myself and all I can do with it is text it to another number. Needless to say, it sounds like a front porch swing or an old screen door. Annoying to say the least.
Time will tell, as to what Summit will do about it. So far, they seem to be headed in the right direction of making it right. :)
