Cant help on the Z87, but right there with the rest of these guys. I cant stomach that kind of coin given how destructive I am with them, also in that 2-4 pairs each year🤣. I wear Strike Kings at $23/ea.

I really like the WileyX glasses but they scratch too easy for me. Time for me to find a new brand as well. Following along.
I bought a pair a couple years ago. Loved them at first, but the lenses have lost their film or something. I can barely look through them anymore. They have become my weedeating glasses. I attribute it to the water at the golf course only because my boss said the same about his Oakleys. But Wiley's are advertised as fishing, so that doesn't hold up. I was really disappointed in them. Always been an Oakley guy for the most part when I find them on sale. I want to eventually invest in a nice pair of Costas. When I fished/lived in Georgia, my buddies swore by them for standing up to the saltwater. I always try them on, just can't justify the cost.

More of the background for me is that this new company is crazy about safety glasses. Being that I dig ditch, it makes it hard to see with dark glasses. So I generally flip them on top of my head. I was told to fix this. I am trying. Clear or yellow glasses have given me a headache. So price is pretty much out the window.

I just bought 2 pairs (not these) from Shady Rays after breaking my Costas. Super pleases with what I received and for the price, don't see me going back to another mainstream brand.
Being a rain day, I had plenty of chances to try different shades on. I don't think the Amber color is going to work.

Someone also mentioned the rose. This made bright things pretty intense. I wish the sun was out to get a better feel. I think I'm down to trying to find a yellow polarized or what Leopold is calling blue.

Pulled out the new ones today. My daughter said "I didn't think your new sunglasses could make you look anymore dad like than your old ones." So I got my wife's opinion and she said with the beard I look like Taliban. My son said I looked like an X-Men character or Men in Black character.

If you want an opinion on how you look in whatever you end up with. . . My family won't pull any punches. 🤣

Hunters HD gold are pricey. Very popular in the shooting world. I personally don’t own a pair but will someday. I have worn plenty of them trying friends while shooting. They transition to light, they also will make lenses for any frame you like if not using any of there’s.

Have you tried on any of these Leupold glasses?

See if you can find something with a gray base. Typically you want to match the base lens color to your environment (blue for open water, green for streams/ponds, amber for mixed environments, gray for all purpose, etc). Gray tends to work well in Ohio 🙄. For me, an amber base with with green mirror was the sweet spot. I’m super light and glare sensitive and those fit the bill. They’re probably a bit dark for what you’re doing with shadows so I think maybe something with a gray base might work. Might be worth a shot.
