Got her dolled up a bit. $1000 for tires and rims, TPMS sensors, and center caps. Tires were supposedly used but they sure looked brand new. Doubt they have 5000 miles on them. Going to need to get the computer flashed for the 18's now since the old ones were 17's. These are maybe 2" taller.

Geesh. Haven't made the first payment and I'm already spending more. Hauled the big enclosed trailer. Disappointing. Not power. Had plenty of power. Surprised how much it sagged. I know it is a nose heavy trailer, but dang. Ordered Timbrens for it tonight. If it sags with a trailer it will sag worse with a salt spreader. Probably going to need to change the hitch as well. May need to add a weight distributing hitch. I've got one. May as well use it. Shouldn't have to on a 1 ton. I'll haul a couple skid loaders this week and see how it does. That trailer is much better balanced if you load it the way it should be. I may load one a foot or so nose heavy for a short haul just to see how it does compared to the enclosed. Maybe the enclosed is way heavier than I thought. My Dodge dually never batted an eye at it but had Timbrens long before I had that trailer.

Disclaimer: this pic amplifies the nose heavy trailer. Tongue is in a bit of a dip. Trailer tires were on higher ground than the truck rear axle.

My BIL did helper springs in rear and spacers in front for the plow. One of my biggest gripes about Ford is their "soft" rear ends, between 3 family/friends that own Ford 1ton LB, SRW config.....ure not alone. Ill never forget the day my FIL climbed in the back of their new purchase. He is a small framed guy, and that baby sank 3"+, the look on his and my 2 BIL's was priceless😄

Sweet truck! I got the True Tow weight distribution hitch. Really helps knowing tongue weight. Not a single problem towing 10,000 lbs (I had it weighed) with my F150 over 5,000 miles. No sway at all. It was like the trailer was just an extension of the truck. I couldn't have accurately loaded my 20' trailer without knowing the tongue weight.

I jumped up tire sizes and didn't worry about reflashing. The difference is pretty small when the info is put into a calculator. The rpms are miniscule. You will read less miles on the truck so that will help resale! 😄

I haven't even looked at a trucks to know current pricing but how in the hell is a 20+ year old truck worth over 50K?
It aint to me, but to someone it is. Some motor combinations bring big money. I remember when Adam laughed at me about selling my megacab for my price. Then I went and sold it to a dealership for even more money. Lol. A 7.3 powerstroke or 5.9 cummins bring big money. I can promise you that if I still had that truck and put 200,000 mile on it, it would be worth the same today as when I sold it 5 years ago. Market is finally coming down on most vehicles, new and used. But some configurations still bring crazy money. Also, the price to rebuild a truck has increased a ton. So finding an all original in new condition will fetch a premium. In this case, you won't find another one. The seller knows that and specializes in that kind of vehicle. Indoor showroom and I can tell he doesn't mind sitting on them for a year if needed. The "right buyer" will be by at some point. He is looking for that one guy.

If you wanna get real crazy, take a quick scroll on this website. This is what trucks are selling for after a little work and adding some shiny stuff. I'd like to have a dually built by them😬.

And I'm still laughing at anyone paying that kind of $ for a 20yr+ old truck, or a dodge mega cab!

No doubt tho, you'd be tens of thousands ahead given your streak of the last 6 since.

The Husky x-act fit floor mat for the rear showed up. Fits great. Feels "sticky" enough to keep from sliding across the vinyl floors. Now maybe my milk crate full of tie down straps won't slide back and forth across the floor. No word on when the front floor mats will ship.
