Alright guys, I need some help. I need any/all recommendations for a taxidermist in and around guernsey county. Am willing to drive for a couple of hours as well! Don’t care about price I just want the quality of work to be there. Any help is much appreciated!

My taxidermist retired so I was scrambling. A good friend recommended Buckeye Taxidermy in North Benton. He has won some national awards and is a really good guy. He does great work. It’s quite always from you though. I spent over an hour there talking with him. Let me know if you want his number.

Less than 2 hrs. to Kisamore's Back to Nature Taxidermy in Suffield, Ohio. Jeff does an awesome job and only mounts mammals. Whitetails are his specialty. He does all my work and everything has been top notch. You can check out the Facebook page.

Also curious how long can a buck sit in the deep freezer double bagged, wrapped and taped before it starts affecting the hide?

Must be refrigerated but up to a week if so. Freeze if possible is what our Michigan taxidermist looks for.

I put him in the freezer the night I killed him. Hoping to make the taxidermist by Wednesday

I had this velvet summer buck in the freezer for two years in a single heavy-duty garbage bag before I decided to do somethin with him.

Yours should be just fine.

Yeah, if properly stored, they can stay frozen for 2-3 years without much issue.

Terry is a good dude and timely. Really enjoys a good challenge in trying something new. He's done all 3 of my deer and you both seen that work. Worth the 3.5 hour drive for me.
