First deer is something special, if you can afford it do it. Had Jenna’s first deer, a button buck, mounted as well as Allen’s which was a big spike. Hell I look at them and re-live the moments more than my bucks.

$125 for a cape at that shop. If my kids dont kill one next early season or someone i know doesnt bag one ill hit up the amish butcher shops during indiana gun opener see if i can skin one out for the cape.

Agreed. We took lots of pics of Greysons, but one regret was not getting a pic with the whole crew that was involved. Anybody that's new to the kids hunting, thi I ahead and make a mental checklist of pics and stuff that you want

Thank you for the offer. Before u skin one or @whitetailjunky3 kills one i need to get this hog packaged, freezer gone through to make sure i have room. 8 months of meat eating might be needed before i add a cape and head. The new mount will not happen until next year.

Unacceptable! Why’s it taking so long? Rob said he took in 225 this year and has around 80 something to go.

Because the guy has given me no less than 40 excuses over the last 4 years. He claims the deer is done. Every time we set up a time for picking it up he comes up with some type of excuse why he can't meet up with me. I could write a book on this but don't want to hijack your thread. Congrats on your buck it is an exceptional animal and your taxidermist is a professional.
