Reading everything from you guys on TOO shortens the learning curve immensely. Actually getting some seat time in the turkey woods helps fill the gaps. I feel like I am gaining a lot of experience and knowledge, but I have a looooong way to go. Just feels really good knowing I am putting myself in the right spots. That is a step in the right direction. Think I might need to start driving around with mouth calls in so I can practice. $20 Redhead pushbox call has been my go-to call all season.

Well dudes, I am off to try to get our team some points. I don't give two shits about turkeys, but dang it if I don't LOVE a good challenge. I don't like to lose. As of now, the turkeys have been winning. I have a clean miss. I have a knocked down bird that I learned a hard lesson on. Time for me to close the deal.

Jesse connected. I KNOW Marcus will connect before the season is over. If I close the deal, I know J will have extra motivation. lol

I appreciate the confidence Phil, but I am getting my butt kicked this year. No promises other than I refuse to quit and will keep at it until season ends. I did get close again this weekend. Had 3 gobblers within 50 yards but wouldn't come over the knoll. Dad and I are headed out for our first evening hunt of the year here shortly. Good luck and keep at it. Most of my kills have happened when I least expected it.

Well after seemingly putting forth a rookie season type year, I finally got him to make the mistake instead of me. Turned out to be a nice 3 year old heavy bird. My first afternnon bird. Good luck fellas!
