I'm taking the slow approach this year and not hitting it until late October.... Over hunted last year and it was slow for any bucks and I got busted more then ever by some nanny does who caught movement before I saw them....

Same here J. I'm hunting field edges the few times I will get to hunt before my vacation. Not getting too serious until my vacation.

I can hunt most evenings and weekends all season. Come rut time I can have the wife drop my daughter off at babysitter so I can hunt morning if I choose to. I get all the gun seasons off. I have some nice bucks on late summer patterns yet as of this mornings card pull.

This deer is still pretty regular he has been in a drainage ditch but has recently moved to the other side of the farm kind of has my plans messed up now but I do have a stand on that end of the farm also so I'm hoping he just stays there a little bit longer
