Wednesday afternoon we headed down to Tennessee to meet up with some friends. we got there just before the storms hit. it was 75 when we got there the next day it was 40 with 35 mph winds that knocked the turkeys down alot no gobbles on the limb at all. We stayed out all day and bounced around finally caught some in a plowed field and was able to put him in the truck. I closed the distance to him by getting above him and calling when the wind wasn't blowing. He had a 9 inch beard and a 1 inch spur the other was freshly broken off. Friday I was able to slip up on some birds with my buddy and almost got a double bit the first one busted us.m y second bird had a10.75 beard and 1inch spurs. Saturday we found a group of birds and worked them in the morning there were 3 strutters in the group but they were henned up. I told the other guys to go without me since I already shot two. I got to another spot down the road and got the call that they killed all 3 so they tripled on the same birds that we worked for 3 hours that morning. It's the best we have ever done in 3 days. Not to mention the moonshine was good too. I'll post some more pics later my phone won't load them right now.
