The answer!

You dont feel holding less weight an having the ability to creep can be a advantage when old mossy horns is 18 yrds away an takes 10mintes to step into the clear before you can take a shot??I shoot 60lb or under an my Z28 never wants to jerk on let down..I would think the draw weight is a huge factor in my case..Im purely talking about a hunting set up..

I love my Z28, but I know where Milo's coming from. The stock grip has given me some fits over the past few months... But I've changed my grip style and it's feeling more natural now. At 72#, it will yank the shit out of you when letting it down.... And it's not your typical feeling of let-down... It's nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, YANK! No matter how much I shoot the bow, I guess I don't practice letting it down enough because it stills surprises me some to this day. Like I said, I'm not knocking Elite or the Z28, because I do love this bow. It's a sweet shooter and looks great. However, the negative aspects that Milo brought up do hold merit, IMO.

Does the GT 500 have the same draw cycle as the Hunter?

I am currently building a shopping list of bows as I think I am going to get back into 3D this spring. So far...

Strothers Infinity
Rytera Alien Z (I think it is the Z)
Elite GT 500
And a few others...

I will buy used though. One year and pay almost half off...yeah

I will be looking for between

33.5 and 35 inch ata
At least a 6.5 brace height
Solid wall with little/no creep

OMO i have been reading and re reading what you wrote and i think i know what you may be saying...i think. i guess i have never been in that position per se so i cannot relate. i use 2 techniques if i have to let down or hold for a while..one is to collapes my bow arm down and take the pressure off my shoulders. i still keep the bow at full draw and bring the string down to my upper chest and against my body. the second is to rest the lower cam on my leg when it is in full rotation and press down on my bow. that keep s the cam locked and lets my shoulders rest. give it a shot it may help ya somewhere down the road brother.

I do the same thing... Lower my arms and push the bottom cam against the top of my knee.

Great tip, fellas. I may have to give that a try one of these days.
