Sabbath started it all. I’m a huge metal fan and in most bands in that genre, you can hear a little bit of Sabbath. Ozzy was a huge part of that sound. His inspiration has lasted a generation and hopefully more. Rest easy brother.
I remember picking up my first Sabbath album, Masters of Reality. It was impactful. I would turn down the volume when my parents walked by, didn’t want them to hear some of the lyrics…they would not understand
I could only imagine if they walked by and heard “would you like to see the pope at the end of a rope? Do you think he’s a fool?”
