I do have a few up and comers this next year coming up and I still have a buck tag to fill so I may pursue a couple of these deer I have on camera. Will post pictures later. But yeah this was a tough one to swallow. He was such an intelligent buck when I was on his turf. Kills me to see he got hit!

Also I just don’t understand why you wouldn’t take the rest of the deer... you hit the damn thing, he probably fucked your shit up and all you do is take the head? Doesn’t make much sense to waste it unless it’s completely FUBAR. Or if someone cut the head off I guess.

Had this happen to a 197 inch buck a few years ago. If my brother would of parked on the far side of property he would of seen him. Amish guy on a buggy found him when he was going down the road even after the landowner said he didn't have permission to get the deer they wouldn't do anything about it and he got to keep it.

Deer had been there less than 24hrs. I had him on camera yesterday morning.

They could have drove it around for 3 days pretending to have shot it while the deer rotted and the cape slipped, then hired the worst taxidermist ever to mount it. ODNR will cut the heads off to test for CWD. They leave the body lay for natural reasons.

Yeah there’s some decent ones coming up for sure on this one property here. Plus I have three other pieces for next year set up and will start scouting and shed hunting the end of next month so I’m looking forward to it!
