Spent the weekend up on Saginaw Bay. My buddy and I fished for eyes on Saturday and perch on Sunday. Great weather, but the fish were picky. No issues making a 10.5 mile run on Saturday morning. All cracks were tight, and we had light winds. We fished in 28ft of water off the East side. Marked fish steady all day, but were very negative. We only managed to entice 5 eyes to hit. We fished on 16" of ice, but did have a crack open up on our trail back Saturday night. A 12 footer opened up, so we had to run it for a different spot to cross. We found a 4ft wide section and crossed over safely. For anyone going up to the bay, watch for the open water spots on the west side. Take your planks and watch the wind.
