I was curious about carp a couple of years ago for the table. I never did try it. But as the country goes to shit, I can't help but try and think of alternative foods. High protein foods that can be had plentiful. Carp and rock bass are 2 that I haven't tried. Of the 2, I think the rock bass would be better suited as a target meal for kids.

By my research, this is probably the best eating fish in my area. As in walking/biking distance of my house.

I have eaten carp. In a survival situation, you have to do what you have to do… so I’d eat it again, if necessary. It would NOT be my first choice though.

One year we had like eighty pounds of the stuff. Even with giving a lot away I haven't been able to eat it since lol. We called it lake Erie ham lol.

Yeah I think the dike was 1992. It did save the marsh. The bass and pike fishing also gills is excellent! Turtle Creek was another spot we would hit every year for carp.

A good chance! We were wild fucks back then. Worked together then lost touch through the years. Last name was McCormick. One year I wasn't with them he fell off the cliffs at south bass and messed himself up.
