I honestly think it's big game hangover combined with overlooking the Warriors. Just seems to be a huge lack of focus and we can execute on the offensive side of the ball. Lee and Perry have been on their game today though. Von Bell should have 3 picks, but he's played well too.

This game should be 49-0, 56-3 or something.

My credit to Hawaii. Number 90, 15, and 1 on their defense have played tough. Been in on a lot of plays. Their QB and the Paul Harris running back of theirs have played pretty well. Outside of the fumbles by their QB, he has had a respectable showing.

One other positive for the Buckeyes: Samuel. He has looked darn good. He has some great balance.

One other positive for Hawaii: They did not really allow any big plays. They made the Buckeyes earn it.

You guys are pretty critical here. No one plays their best against a "lesser" team. Hard to be fired up with adrenaline when you are just going through the motions. Give 'em a little slack here. When they need to, they will put in a little effort.

I agree with everything Phil said here. IMO, UM needs to go back to Barrett until he's hurt or loses. He proved last year he was the man. He's faster and quicker, more calm and cool under pressure, runs the faster tempo better and is more accurate on his passes. I like CJ and what he did late last year but I just feel JT is the more rounded player.

Thanks Ric. In all fairness, Brock is right too. We are being pretty critical. Short week as Jesse mentioned. Basically 2 games in one week didn't help them. Playing down to the level of their competitor was part of it. Overall, the sign of a great team is playing a lesser team in a sloppy way and coming out with a solid point spread victory. One of the commentators said this and I agree with it. Knowing how much better they could have played makes it easy to sit in my recliner and dissect them.

the thing that has me scratching my head is that last year when Braxton Miller went down, J.T. was the guy. he was THE guy with no hesitation, no second guessing. Cardale Jones wasn't even mentioned after the VT loss. I'm with you, FS, Barret is the best player to run the offense the way Urban wants it run. No doubt Jones is an NFL prospect, but J.T. is the best fit in their offense. you've got to be a heady player to run the read-option and fast tempo schemes.

I feel that they play as a team better when BM is on the bench, sure he is a player that can make things happen but he is very predictable. Not once did he hand the ball to Zeke when he was taking snaps. I liked the second half better when BM wasn't in the game and Marshall showed that he is still a great asset. As far as QB's go it's just a matter of time before JT assumes the starting role.

I think it's an accurate statement. They are fiddle fucking around trying this guy here, this guy doing that, still looking for the players who fit where and how. It doesn't promote cohesion and fluidity. I think too many options can be a hindrance. Not saying that's what is happening, but I see signs of it.

I think the QB swapping is the only thing going on. I also think this is by design. Why take a chance on injuring your star (sophomore?) when you have another option? I'd love to be in the position to have my "back up" be better than my starter.
