The Ohio State Buckeyes

Ouch. Iowa lost. Louisville beat the tar out of FL State. I love that one! Wisconsin squeaked out a win. Phew. Going to be interesting to see how Mi State does against ND and the Buckeyes do against the Sooners in OK.

You nailed it Adam. Quite the day!

Bama may have had the stats for the first 1/2, but Ol Miss owned their ass. That was the first non-buckeye game I have watched in awhile and I am glad I did. What a game!!

Fugg FS, that was an ass whoppin!

At a cross country invitational this morning. Came home. Shot bow. Turned on football. I was like a cat watching a ping pong match x3. Flipped between MI/CO, NE/OR, and AL/ol MS games.

Lots of game left. Oklahoma is no slouch. They found the ability to move the ball on us. Told my brother turnovers and special teams could make the difference. A couple turnovers have helped us. Opening drive in second quarter looks like the momentum is still in our favor. Hope it stays that way.

This game really highlights the recruiting Urban has done. We have serious speed in the secondary with Lattimore. Hooker is Doss reincarnated. We can stretch the field with Samuel and Weber, and both can bang between the tackles. JT knows the system inside and out. I'm impressed. Didn't think we were ready for the stage.

Well said Jesse. I have picked up on a lot of little things too. Watch Lattimore in open field tackles. He is impressive. It is just the basic stuff but they have executed well. Front D line has been real stout too.

There was a play in the 3rd I believe where Lattimore was in the hip pocket on a slant to the middle of the field. In 3 strides he went from lagging behind to jumping the route. It was such a great example of the kind of speed we haven't had until now. That was sweet to see.

That was the play he picked it off I believe. Crazy closing speed.

Very happy that both lines played as good as they did! Outstanding:smiley_clap:

If I have two negatives they're this:

Whoever is to blame for taking so long to call the fuggin plays to where you use all 3 timeouts plus 2 delay of game penalties in just the first half needs a good ole fashion dressing down by Meyer! My guess it's our OC!

Lastly, IMO Urban started playing conservative to early in the game trying to burn up the clock! They should have kept the foot on the gas till the 4th quarter. It could have gotten closer if OU made a few big plays and scored there in the 3 quarter and turned the momentum their way.

The speed and athleticism on both sides of the ball are very evident and Urb has got the makings of a great team! GO BUCKS!!!

Excellent points Ric. I agree. Five or six games of honing skills. Then we have M State and UM. Then play offs. We have time to hone skills. Urban is so impressive to me in post game interviews. He is so calm as he points out the things we need to work on, yet he is positive as he mentions them.

Great game last night fellas. OSU looks like a hell of a football team. Some issues to clean up around play calling and time management but other than that I saw some great football on both the D and O lines. Really nailed the fundamentals and didn't look loose and sloppy. It's just too bad they don't really play anyone until Michigan that's worth a damn. I think texas is the only one in the schedule that's even ranked.

Agreed, to really see what they're made of they need to start gettin a stronger schedule before the playoffs....

Looks like yesterday was a crazy day on the college football world. NDSU beats Iowa?!?! Then the huskers go bear Oregon. There were a few other games that shook things up too. Louisville destroyed FSU. I was pretty happy about that one. It was great to see the buckeyes have a good game against a strong Oklahoma team. With such a young team, that's a great sign.
