If the waste and abuse of taxpayers monies were whittled down to a minimum, maybe we’d get a better product. Maybe a DOGE should be implemented at the various state levels to make sure we’re getting what we pay for. The BS in place now doesn’t seem to be working too well.

IIRC the Ohio Supreme Court ruled two decades ago that school funding through property taxes was against the state constitution. Just nothing has ever been done about it. The one thing that always bothered me was that they'll lose a school tax levy then start a second more covert attempt and get it on some random ballot in April. There won't be a huge public campaign, yard signs, etc just quietly to their supporters, teachers etc and get it passed. I've always said that if a school levy fails it should be barred from retrying for a year, and only allowed on large ballots like for state and federal congressmen, presidential, etc, and not special elections.
They will find something. Trust me.

On the property taxes issue the way I see it, is if it’s gone everyone will be taxed the same hopefully on something else.
Why should I pay more than my neighbor? If it’s going to schools and public service?
If you add a deck some concrete pool yada yada you get penalized/taxed more .
Mean while the state of Ohio is giving the browns 600 million of Ohios unclaimed funds to build the browns a stadium.
A team that pays their players 171 million dollars a year and can’t even make the playoffs!
If you own your home and land you should own it. Tax something else. Like Busch lite beer!

That guy in Des Moines Iowa who was hired as the school superintendent, left my neck of the woods to take that job as he was school superintendent here first... Remember that movie about the great pretender who scammed his way around the world back in the day? Ya, he was a priest here at Gannon Univ.
Simply put, I think I can pull this off here as nobody is checking anything or anybody here...We are a sanctuary county afterall!
