A little update, my taxi had time this week to get the head skinned out. This deer had a broken jaw, poor bastard starved to death. Explains things a bit.
That would explain little fat on him as well. Probably broke it fighting if I had to guess. Crappy way to go out that's for sure.
Hopefully he got to mate and pass on his genetics before he wasted away. Horrible way to go. Ranks right up there with drowning or smoke inhalation.
Might of added a lip curl to this...dad said he always wanted one done with a lip curl, so we got it ordered a couple of weeks back.
Just went back through this entire thread, what an awesome story. Makes me smile thinking about what might happen this season!

Let’s see it! I’ve never really paid much attention to them. Always noticed but never gave one a good look.
