Does the compact model work as well as the full size model?

Are they all the same, or are there generic Thermacell brands now?

Is $12 worth it for the cheesy holster?

I don't think the full-size one is to big either way. I have the holster and like it just because you can have extra pads and butane right there with it. That way if your going camping for the weekend or whatever it is all together.

Thermacell is a must have(aint sure on the compact).Mine gets used all year,camping,fishing,cookouts etc..Hell I even use it in the truck when sitting an glassing for deer....I need to get a holster

I wish I had a thermacell on my bear hunt this weekend. The skeeters, black flies, and horse flies were thick. At one point I was running around the truck in circles to get a way from a swarm attacking horse flies.

Get the holster its worth it. You can hook it to your belt loop and go hands free when in the woods.
