Notice the start of his left G4 in velvet. Good distance between the G3 and G4. Also similiar spacing on the G2's and 3's. Same deer?

Nope. At first I thought it could be, but the more I looked at it, the more I thought differently. Just wanted to see what others thought. Sometimes the more you look, the more you have no idea what you are looking for! :smiley_brancard:

different deer, there is no way he has lost that much out of velvet. In velvet that deer looks to be past his ears by alot.

could just be the way that pictue was taken, that makes the bottom deer look small.

I'm thinking that the velvet pic is the big 8 that I watched this summer. That deer had a small, possibly scorable G4 on his left side. Just thought I'd ask around...

Rack is different and body mass is not the same.... Well at least that way it looks to me :smiley_bird:

Looks like different deer to me. As was said, the body mass looks different and I wouldn't think he would lose that much mass off the rack when the velvet came off. Very similar though.
