Too many outdoor hobbies and too many soccer games have limited the opportunities for serious deer hunting. It’s ok. I’ve adjusted my expectations the past few years and have come to terms with just hunting as much as possible and keeping it as fun as possible.
This weekend was removed from the hunting radar as both kiddos are playing soccer in showcases. My son is playing in Cincy, driving back and forth with his mom. My daughter and I are at her showcase. It’s normal that as parents we divide and conquer.
Well, after today’s game my son called and asked if he could go hunting. We talked though everything and solidified plans, reassuring his mother that it was all good. He gets his gear together, puts on the orange, and heads out with a nonhunting adult. A little while later, he texts…
