Toledo city Water

Also check out the article in the Blade today where they interviewed the Oregon water guy. I can't qoute exactly what he said but he alluded that Toledo more than likely changed their testing protocal in the last week. It has been showing up in Oregon's testing for almost week.

I am fairly certain this stuff has been in our water before and nobody even knew it. But like other nasties, what doan kill you makes you stronger. I compare it to Americans getting sick from water when visiting other countries and it does not bother the locals.

Does anyone know if the Maumee Bay water system is/was effected by this situation say around 7-28 thru 8-1? Also, what about Cedar Point. I drank alittle water from drinking fountains while we were up there and I've had the diarrhea ever since. It got better a couple days ago but I think it might be coming back....I'll let you know soon after my morning poo poo....lol

Don't shit yourself Ric!

Lmao Chad! In the early going it was of the explosive type but now its more like a lava flow but runny still. Otherwise I have no other ill symptoms and I feel great. Just got to get to the pot when I feel some churning going on down yonder....:smiley_blackeye:

TMI-too much info. LOL
But I do hope you feel better soon. About 5 yrs. ago I had the same problem for over 10 months and the Doctors never did figure out why. It just got better over time. It was rough going.

dang, that sucks...I hate that feeling, especially if you don't know if you're going to get to the crapper in time or not.

I'm not sure about CP, but I would think (haven't looked it up yet) that Maumee bay is on oregon city water...and they never had a water usage restriction throughout this whole process.

IMO, I think this might be the beginning of the algea bloom problem, I also think there is a difference in the drinking water today from a month or so ago.

Could also be that there is an allowable level of microcystins for drinking water that are now present that weren't there a month ago or so...and you're insides just aren't used it.

Kind of like Swantucky said, drinking the water from another that your body isn't used to.

I keep flushable wet wipes at my desk just for these occasions.

Tested the pH with my aquarium kit. You make your own call. uploadfromtaptalk1407458722262.jpg

Most likely the optimal pH of the water you were designed to drink is somewhere between 6.5 and 8. Above or below this level may have other purposes, such as disinfection, but I would be careful drinking water outside of these ranges.

This is testing higher than what is on the chart. I figured it was closer to highly chlorinated pool water. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm drinking purified water.
Also, it's an aquarium test kit. That was the only test that mattered to me.

would you like me to scare the crap out of you? :):smiley_chinrub:

Go for it. I think I know where your going to go.

I think he's going to say if you start pissing out a guppy or gold fish you might need to see a doctor.

Seriously though, I feel for you guys up there cuz it seems no body in charge knows anything or saying anything just like a typical government coverup!

Roger that. I did hear that and it's pretty alarming. We have programs locally for anonymously disposing medication properly. Where is the caffeine coming from? Are people letting good coffee go to waste? Does reverse osmosis work?
