Solid rains two days in a row. Sure needed that. Ours is finally starting to make me feel like it is going to do something.

That sucks Jesse. We're getting zucchini but the cucumbers are just starting to put them on. Tomatoes are still green but growing. Peppers have started.
Rhubarb got ate up, and i started seeing signs of squash bugs so the sevin dust got brought out.

Squash and cucumbers are plentiful. Tomatoes are forming and peppers are as well as the beans. Corn is coming along nicely as well and have 2-3 per stalk as of now. Surprisingly critters have been pretty much nonexistent, so far…..
The heavy wind and rain and small tomatoes coming on the tops of my 2 tallest plants caused them to fold yesterday so I had use extra plastic conduit pipes to help support the tops and tied them up. They’ll be almost 9 friggin feet high if they don’t stop growing! Had to use my 6’ step ladder to reach the tops. Dang!!! Lol

Brocolli is getting real close. Consistently getting small daily harvests of maters and beans, but the rain this week should send it into full swing.
1st round of sweet corn suffered due to early season weather but has tasseled with full size stalks and miget stalks. 2nd round is ready for some hilling, weeding, and nitrogen. This end of the fenced in area has stayed moist the entire time, with standing water this week.
Pumpkins and watermelons are doing great, but not seeing many pollinators. Gonna hit them with a Q-tip around lunch after I finish weeding.

Garden is starting to kick in...
I’ve got 8 of 9 towering mater plants anchored with pvc and conduit this morning. Picked what peppers that were ready. Don’t know what’s happened to over half of my pepper plants, several over 2’ tall and not a flower or bud anywhere. Wondering if squirrels or chipmunks nibbled them off cuz there’s been a lot of digging spots all spring and summer around all of my plants. Oh well, next year I’ll need to remedy that.

Got my irrigation set up today. Had to stake the peppers. They have decent peppers on them but are bending over with the weight. Staked and tied them. Hope that helps.
The weed barrier fabric has been a game changer. Plants seem better. I'm guessing due to less competition for nutrients? Ignore the weeds outside the planters.

Brocolli harvests have begun, 1st head in the freezer. Decided to spread some sunflowers throughout different spots and the little guys have bloomed under 2 section of beans. I kept getting buzzed yesterday evening by 2-3 different hummingbirds just a few feet from head, very cool.

Zucchini is producing. Cucumbers are a disappointment, unless they are holding back. The "gerhking" variant has nothing so far. Peppers are catching stride.
Tomatoes... cherry producing everything else has fruit but looks to ripen all at once. The "early girl" variant has one that is almost ready.

Finally got some corn and peppers out of the garden, tomatoes as well. The less desirable ears got scraped and will be fried up.
After having a couple ears this evening for dinner, wish we’d of planted more of it.

Last of the broccoli harvested yesterday. Went from 9 last year to 20 this year.
