We are off and running with Rd. 1 seed planting completed today - 24 peppers and 16 tomatoes to kick things off.

Chickens understand the assignment and are enjoying the open fence for new land to conquer. I'm hoping to get a homemade 7'x25' cattle panel hoop tunnel over those 2 raised beds to extend the season on both ends, but time is running out. The CL is planted heavily in the beds and the last 2 handfuls just tossed to the open area to the right.

We are 11-12wks out from outside planting, time to focus on rotation and layout for the year. So far the weather has played nice, would love to not be flooded out this spring😂

Mmmmm mmmmm, smelling so fresh and so clean! One last pass of hand removing the lingering parts of the cover crop on the new mounds, reshape em, then top dress with compost/animal bedding before planting.

On Sunday the tarp gets flipped to the remaining CL, which has absolutely exploded in height. I'm curious how both kill off zones go, the current area (zone 1) is really putting off some odor today after the last few days of high temps, hope it is fully terminated come Sunday.
