I'm sproutin' and stuff is growing, as a rookie gardener I'm pretty amazed

Full Garden View - got lines strung for the beans to climb at this end. Put up chickenwire fence after I took pics last nite.

Green leaf lettuce, very exited. Musta bought bum seed on the romaine row, not a single sprout.

My sweet corn is finally popping up and I just picked my first batch of strawberries this afternoon! That torrential downpour we got over the weekend set us back a bit but things are drying out now and the sunshine we had today seemed to give the plants some new life. Once my beans and peas and onions start coming through I'll get some pics of my garden. It's really not much to look at right now.

Neem oil, try googling that? I guess my wife used it last year and it worked pretty good. Couldn't tell you anything else besides that, she said "neem oil" and walked away. lol

Looking good everybody. Hoping to dry out and be able to run the tiller through my three gardens and get some weeding done. I put horse shit on last fall and the weeds are sure showing it too. I sprayed my tomatoes and a few other plants with fungicide last night I noticed a sign of some blight so I'm hoping to keep ahead of it. It ruined my tomatoes a few years ago.Keep up the good work everybody.

Lmao.......how many years you two been married?! Lol

I took her out on the lake last year for our 10 year.

I would also like to add that we have had deer in the side yard right next to the garden (inside 10 yards) every morning, they haven't touched it! Irish Spring seems to be holding strong again this year. The damn coons are smashing the strawberries though.

The birds were getting my berries bad the first few days. The old pie pans and a shotgun shell or two has worked pretty good.

What should I be looking for in regards to blight?

Yellow spots on the lower leaves with black circles around them. I had it two years ago and my tomatoes were 5 feet tall and beautiful and I got late blight in them and it wiped them out in about two weeks. There is two kinds and usually do to to much water at the wrong times and it starts on the bottom leaves of the plant. Its a soil born fungus so try to keep the dirt off your leaves with mulch I use straw to help this. Only water at the roots and try and keep the leaves dry and free of dirt. If you are for sure you have a plant with it pull the plant and discard it out of your garden. And wash your hands before touching any other plants with a small amount of bleach solution. The stuff is bad stuff from my experience with it. And its hard to get rid of.
