I had to expand my chicken area and making it taller until I can build my permanent fence. I had to waller this 100' roll around to avoid cutting it for future use. I narrowly avoided a ccatastrophe ther process. I weedeated the perimeter, rolled out fence, stretched it, then drove a t-post right in a yellow jackets nest. Not sure how I didn't get stung before driving the post, but I lucked into standing right over the hole when I was driving it. I could feel my foot vibrating and immediately knew what it was, so I pulled the post driver and... 1-2-3 run! Chickens are in there rooting them out right now. Can't wait to make this a permanent fix.
Did a couple batches of pickled veggies. Wish I could say all came from my garden, but it's slow going up here. I did a hot batch, and a regular for next weekend, and a small jar of pickles and bananna peppers per Greyson's request
Picked a 5 gallon bucket of garden goodies for my feathered friends this AM. Of all my homesteading projects, I enjoy these birds the most. Egg production is great right now because they're constantly eating fresh produce and have room to roam. Lots of fun for both of us.
Nice and cool breeze out....beautiful day out. Gonna start painting the railings on the front porch. Wont be able to finish it all at once, but it's a start. Will do one at a time and work my way down. The black railings just didnt look right, so I wanted to paint it white. The base bracket that's on the rail looks like shit. So, I decided to make ones from work. 1x1x1/8 tubing 1 1/2 long 8 pcs and 3x3x1/4 flats 8 pcs and weld it together.
