Smokeless muzzleloaders are no joke. Very high pressure with an aluminum ram rod was like 10x normal recoil.

Drive #1 resulted in a bunch of deer being seen and one shot fired, but no harm done. I had the hammer back on one as a driver, but I didn't love the shot, so I held off expecting more to be with her, but she was solo. Drive #2 is underway. Sitting this time overlooking a nice funnel between the lake and the rocky hillside.
