TOO Salt Fork Muzzy hunt - 1/4/25

lol as mentioned I’ve hunted nearly every inch of SF and haven’t had any negative encounters necessarily. Now the small tracts in western Ohio I hunt because they are under hour are a different story. I have hauled the camper in past but most recently devise other lodging as I like to haul my boat or kayak. Either way I make a good bird dog and enjoy others success as much or more than my own.
Welcome aboard. jump on in. like Dan said, lots of great folks here.

A new thread for this year's upcoming thread will be started and we look forward to you joining. With how the dates fall, I plan to head to there Thursday 1/1/26 with the camper. Looks like both A & C camping areas maybe open for winter camping this season after their renovations.
If the weather cooperates I may pull my camper. Only problem is we have a huge toy hauler and I tow with my ol 07 dodge dually. If weather isn’t good it’s not the truck I want around SF. I much prefer my daily 4x4 and of course camper would be winterized already which isn’t a huge deal. Might end up in the lodge or hotel in Cambridge.

Don’t know how it is currently, but it used to be a little difficult finding rooms close by during muzzy season at salt fork.

Dig up the hunt thread from a few years back as i think there are some pics of camping. Thats the beautiful thing about SF winter spots, there is a heated shower house/laundry/shitters, etc just 100yrds across the road. With electric at the camper, and a hot fire, its mighty pleasant.
