TOO Waterfowl Chronicles

View attachment 204436
Her first waterfowl hunt and we limited. She worked the call pretty good and I think she’s hooked. She already found a call for me to buy her and she’s been watching calling videos since we got home. She even picked up on our lingo. One of the last groups she goes, “they hooked, get ready boys!” Warmed my heart and made me chuckle.

Too good!

3 greenwing teal and a black duck this morning

Got another black duck today....thought I had a double but the damn thing flew far enough into the field and then took off and was out of range...

Other than that they are pretty....there's no good story or anything about any of these so I'm not planning on getting one mounted unless one of ya'll can convince me of otherwise

I’ve killed 2 down here years ago, not on the same day. Would’ve lost it if I mounted it. Katrina took 17 bird mounts plus fish I had mounted.

Like shooting things with feathers wasn't expensive enough, might as well.
I'm already getting a hunting license - no added cost

The two stamps - yup an added cost.

I literally throw on a carhartt coat and walk a creek...pretty simple though I do take a fishing net with a long handle because wading in this weather is for the birds. So even though I bought a good bit of gear a few years ago (like the layout blind I've never used) it doesn't cost me much. I probably shoot 2-5 shells each time I see any ducks.

I like the meat on occasion and my youngest loves to help pluck them for some odd reason.
