Got an orbital sander for Christmas and a set of 128 drill bits.

Picked this beauty up next to the trash tonight. Nice, heavy table top that will make a perfect workbench someday.

This has been a great thread Huck. i think we need one for tools every man "wants" to have. I have been fortunate enough to acquire a few of these "wants" over the years.

Bumping this one, lots of stuff has happened since.

Extractor set - just used mine for the first time in a couple of years and I’m glad I had it earlier. Saved me a trip to the store and some anger.

I'm sure someone mentioned a good chainsaw and a maul, but how about a back-saving hookeroon?

Interesting. I didn't know they made a specific tool for that. I have a Kelly Rockaway pattern axe that I love because it has a point on the bottom of the bit that I used to do the same job. When I need to pick up a log or a split i strike it with the point. After i cut up a log i grab the axe and use that to put the rounds in the wheelbarrow. Its also great for rolling logs over to finish the cut, i hook the point over the log and yank to roll it over.

It makes a huge difference. They have hookeroons and pickeroons, which have a shorter handle for dealing with smaller splits faster. I use the longer one because I work with a lot of big rounds and it gives me leverage to roll them and pick them up. How heavy is that axe head Joe? When splitting I prefer the 8 lb maul and a tire. Wranglerstar on YouTube has given me a lot of great ideas.
