Tow rig/daily driver

Tomorrow she grunts all day with this 12K lb. trailer full for 6-7hrs hauling old baseball field dirt back to our property as fill out front and a new shooting backstop. She'll get a fresh oil change this weekend and maybe, just maybe a bath. Almost 6yrs old and showing just shy of 61K miles and the stock steelies are rusted to shit🤣. I'd like to hit 200K miles with this one I think. Never done that with a new model engine from new....🤞

Got 10 loads in from 7-4:30 (minus 40mins for lunch), she handled it like a champ and think she may have even enjoyed it. The trailer and tires on the other hand.....good thing it was a rental😄. The first load pushed things, did 30mph with flashers lol. The rest we hammered down. The school took 3-4 dump truck loads to the HS, there's still 40-50% left. If noone else grabs it, she gets abused another weekend day soon.

I'll respectfully disagree, this is for the Yota which I took as his DD😄. The other was truck options and OP already ruled out a Yota. Pls post ure Corolla in this thread when u acquire as a DD😆.
Ugh, you are tiring sometimes. The truck pictured is basically a tow rig now. My daily is always changing between my kids rigs.

@Tysonhunter, there are quite a few members who enjoy their Yotas and they always come up as a DD/tow rig option it seems. You're the only one outside of J that I know of here who tows (his boat) with it occasionally (as mentioned in your PM) and is their DD. Please share your experience(s) and trailer weights, etc. if you dont mind.

Well to be honest, the Yota lacks towing capacity in many ways. I have Tennessee kayak trailer that is a stout tournament style kayak trailer with extended tongue that it pulls fine but you do feel it back there and MPG does down 1-2 from a already non impressive 16-18. I also have a dual axel utility trailer that I will haul my sxs or atv on among other things with dual 7k axels and you for sure know it is behind you. I do not have a brake controller on my TACO so that doesn't help with pulling that 16' heavier trailer. (it's a old international very heavy duty) My jon boat and trailer is actually lighter than the kayak and tows without impact. That said, the dodge dually gets all of the other assigned duties. Not even sure the taco would budge our 12k toyhauler. If it would I am sure the rear would be on overloads and it wouldn't make it far. I wouldn't hesitate to pull a decent boat with mine and wouldn't be concerned with the ramps but it for sure isn't the best tow vehicle out there. I would lean towards tundra or another 1/2 ton if towing was going to be asked of it regularly.
