What are you guys using? I'm thinking about a new truck (new to me anyways). I love my Mega...but would really like to have a long bed. With 3 kids, I gotta have a crew cab. I don't want a dually either. I'm not stuck on a diesel, gas motors are providing some excellent numbers these days.

Good night! They are proud of them newer Fords... I might just end up buying a new truck with a gas motor at the prices in finding on used trucks.

For shits and giggles I just looked up my truck...maybe I'll just keep it and keep fixing it. Never seems to lose value! Crazy to think that someone would pay this kind of money for an 06'.

I drive a 03 f350 v 10 and let me tell u that thing has more balls than i have found a use for. With that being said ive heard a lot of good about the new 6.7. We have four of them at my work and so far they have been the most problem free (compared to a 14 cummins and several 14 and newer duramax).
I used to have a 97 7.3 when i was in high school and when i got my v10 i noticed almost no difference in mpg or power wven compared to my dads 01 7.3
I prefer having a gas motor now becuase parts tend to be a little cheaper and it isnt nearly as easy to tear apart and build.

Fords newer 6.2 is a good motor as well. My brother has one and its really a nice truck. He pulls a 32' bumper pull camper with his and he says he never really notices it bact there until we hit the bigger hills... another thing to keep in mind is that the difference on the interior of almost anything new is drastically changed. When my lariat came out in 03 it was top of the line. Now to find one as basic as mine is almost impossible. Not sure if you are into all that tech stuff but i know im not as its more that can go wrong...

Not really into factory "bells and whistles", I like to add my own touch. So I'd basically have to have AC. I've heard good things about all three brands of 6.2 also. With GM getting the best mileage with them. Which isn't a huge concern with me, but is a plus.

Yeah, either long bed it and have the truck you want or PM me the trade in value you were ORIGINALLY thinkin and I just may pay it [emoji6]

Truck market is stupid crazy both used and new.

Whens the last time you drove a gasser Dave? I dont think Ill ever be able to go back. Granted I went to a 1/2 ton, but when looking for its replacement I could not stand it even in the new 3/4-1tons.

4 years...I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna keep it. It would be stupid to sell a truck that never loses resale value. In the 4 years I've owned it, it's gone down $3,000. And it's 10 years old and still worth a solid chunk of money.

Quit bitchin about having to fix it then, fugger!

Ever have to fix a Cummins? It hurts every time...nothing is a cheap fix on these things! Fucking oil and filters is $120 just to service.

Fast cars aren't much better. 130k miles and needed 4 hubs. $120 each. Battery $197. Alternator $375. Oil change is mobile 1 synthetic with mobile 1 filter. 50 bucks to do it myself. Pay to play man.

Still entertaining the idea. Thinking I might be able to get by with a Toyota... What kind of mileage you guys getting with them? How big of a load have you hauled with them? I'm gonna load my camper and drag it across the scale at work one of these days. I'd guess that I'm around 10,000 lbs with a full load, including food/beer/firewood/bikes blah blah blah
