Might to have to look into the chestnut trees, our place isn't too awful far from Pike Co. Be nice to have a few of those scattered around on the property.
Remember, they pollinate each other. So you'll need more than 2 planted within 30-40 ft of each other.

I would take 9. 3 for $25 if I read it correct? Might need to figure the logistics out. I am a fur piece from Pike Co.

They are $10 each or 3 for $25. I've been telling everyone that buys them that I recommend putting at least three in a spot so that just in case something was to happen to one several years down the road you still have atleast two to pollinate each other.

Sorry I've torn some of you
Up over these trees. But do to a thing called a job I haven't had a chance to take a tree to the post office to get weighed. Only reason I'm responding now is due to another member from another site giving me a heads up as to your recent posts. Everything I see on the internet says that the trees need the be shipped dormant. The trees are over 30" tall now not including the the roots. They will not be able to provide a box that ship a tree. They would have to be special ordered. I've got plenty left and don't see myself anytime soon being able to make a trip north. This to me sounds like a good opportunity for for someone or a couple buddies to come south to pick up some and take back north for themselves and possible others. my fatherinlaw sells them at the Chillicothe farmers market on Saturdays and I can send them with him which would save you 1.5 hours round trip drive time. If you have any further questions, shoot me a text at 7406496692.

So why did you put trees up for sale on here if you never planned on checking back to see if any of us wanted any? I understand you have daily obligations in the form of a job, but so do the rest of us.

I have checked back and there hasn't been any activity for nearly a month on this thread. I apologize for my lack of info provided and response.
Currently I see no way of shipping them unfortunately. If I was to discover one, my effort in packaging the tree for safe shipment and the cost of the actual shipping would most likely cost as much as each tree if not more. The cheapest I've found these trees are $18.95 each preordered through a qdma chapter in Pennsylvania. Those trees were seedling 12 to 18 inches in height. The only other place I've found that you can get them is chestnut hill who will send them to walmarts and rural kings for $30 each for a five ft tree. Like I said, I've got plenty left and they are all nice.
I plan on doing this again this coming year, but since there seems to be a lot of interest in shipping I've come up with one idea and let me know if there would be any interest. The nuts have to be stratified and every nut I planted this year that had a tap root came up. Any interest in buying stratified chestnuts with tap roots? They can be shipped cheap/easy and all one would have to do is plant in a pot and let it grow and maintain it. Probably sell them for $3 each. Or setup some type of payment method and take orders for trees to be delivered by me to a central location on a certain date. Because I know that if I was supposed to meet 5 different people at the same location to sell 20 trees, at least two people wouldn't show or be able to meet.

Wow man... You don't think you might be being a dick? It's not like the guy is running a business or anything. BTW, you're welcome for tracking this guy down for you...

Joe, I like the idea of selling off the seeds. Those would be easy enough to ship for someone whiling to put in a little effort.
