I was the little toe head running around with him. I used to sell night crawlers to you guys. My dad made a grand total of 12 of those rifles. I have a .45 and my wife has a .38. I think the deal with the game warden was a joke. It did look like a modern rifle but I dont remember getting stopped.

Some guy from Iowa called my dad and started asking a bunch of questions about his rifle. My meat head dad tells him everything. Next thing you know Knight Rifles hit the market.... My dads gun is way better BTW

Forgot to mention I switched from #11 caps to musket caps.

that was a long time ago . but i do know that the rifle was the shit for sure .. hows your dad doing . well i hope . he is a good man . i hardly ever talk about muzzle loaders without telling people i saw and held the first inline .

He's well, living in Florida. I still have the drawings for those recievers..........

I always wanted to do a rifle in all stainless with a killer AAA Cherry stock. Complete with a AAA hand made Cherry case lined with Coyote hide.......Saweeeeeeeeeet

You should see the .50 he did for himself. Awesome 50 Sharps barrel and a roll over monte Carlo stock from a peice of killer walnut. Thing drives tacks.

I think I may remember you. I seem to remember a guy that looked like Snyder from "One Day at A Time"

I pre-measure 3 quick loads before any hunt of the 90 grains that I use. It takes no less time than dropping 2 pellets in. And 99 times out of 100 it's the first shot that counts anyway. I've never had a misfire with the American Pioneer powder. I think the 209 primers replacing the percussion caps has a lot to do with that. When I had my first knight muzzleloader I had a ton of misfires with the percussion caps.

I have the bone collector and struggled with finding a good combination for shooting consistency and reloading ease. I was using Tripple 7 pellets with different sabots but finally dialed things in today. The combination I am going to be using is as follows:

Federal Amunition primer
100 grains of of Blackhorn 209 powder
250 grain Shock Wave sabots

Off the bench was touching all shots in groups of 3. That was with a clean barrel and than dirty and dirty. Really pleased with the blackhorn 209 compared to the Triple 7. With the Triple 7 the reload on a dirty barrel was tough and then the shot on a dirty barrel was always 4-5" low and slightly left. I could reload what seems like all day long with the Blackhorn powder and clean and dirty barrel were shooting the same.

Hope this helps.
