So in the fall I intend on getting a new vehicle.. With all the recalls and problems on just about every make and model it makes deciding on something a little tough... With Dodge bringing back the 5.7 hemi V8 around Sept. I'm leaning to that... I'm not a fan of a 4 or 6 cyl. In a pickup... Definitely don't want all this turbo boost shit ... Just more shit to give you problems down the road... Might even consider an SUV... Really like the Toyota Land Cruiser 1958 version ... But ... Once again a 4 cyl. TURBO BOOST... So opinions please...

Coyote has been around a while, 10 speed trans has been around a while, and it won't rust. Can get it with crank windows if you'd like or massaging seats.

Those are the things I considered when you asked about a non-turbo V8 truck. IF you want to step up to a 3/4 ton it'll really open your options in that area.

Things also to consider is your bed length and cab configuration. Both things will narrow down your search as well.

Thanks... All things considered .. Want full size passenger doors and a 6 ft. bed... Crank windows, you serious, they still make them.. How about high beam switch on the floor... J remembers that.... That was great having it there...

Working on getting the Bronco cleaned up... But that's gonna just be done in remembrance of my brother....

I felt the same way as you about the V-6 with Turbos, but after a year of owning one you can't tell that it is not a V-8. I went with Toyota because when problems come up they have a much better track record of addressing and fixing the problem, instead of the band aid approach the big 3 use. Just look at the engine issue Toyota is handling, they are installing a complete engine assembly.

BUT, you can't get a full back door and a 6' bed. This is going to be in the Big 3 ball park.

I was leaning towards a Tundra... But as Dave said, I want a big back seat that I can pile shit into such as bows, firearms, clothes etc... Remember I take way TOO much stuff on a trip. Then while out there if we want to go out looking for deer or dinner guys can fit into the back seat.. Funny thing... Today I go to clean the guys pool that I get the Blanton's from and he's got a Chevy pickup.... I asked him how he likes it... He said he loves it... Now the interesting part comes up... He's says my wife's father is the sales manager at a certain dealer, to go see him for a great deal...

The truck I had before the one I have now had an 8 ft bed with a regular cab which is what I wanted. It was a 2013 f-150. Salesman tried to sell me xtended can 6 foot bed. Told him I can't get a full load of firewood or my 4 wheeler without the tailgate being down. He told me to get a trailer. I asked him if he was a car salesman or a trailer salesman!! Fucker got me what I wanted!
