Oh please NO... He gets offended when I type in all CAPS...
If I had one of those tailgates, I’d be keeping an eye on those cables. The weak link in that design….Looks like they do View attachment 208721
It's aluminum...Great idea... EXCEPT: Another place for water to get into tailgate and cause it to rust... I like things sealed up solid...
No idea, but I have not had any problems or heard of any problems beyond people messing up the plastic cap/cover on the step. Most of our work truck tailgates have been well abuse and still work. They are the ones without the step but they all are missing the plastic cover. What about the inside of the tailgate???
Seeing a lot of older trucks down here, it seems UV eats those things up!No idea, but I have not had any problems or heard of any problems beyond people messing up the plastic cap/cover on the step. So it will be the eTorque 5.7 HEMI.![]()

Yep. Daughter is still driving her 2011 that hit her thru part of high school, college, and the first year of marriage. Wife would still be driving her CRV if it were for a deer. We added a roof top carrier to her CRV and it was a game changer in regards to space. Can add a hitch with carrier too if needed. I think Rich wants to be able to haul a short of plywood once every 4-5 years though. (Sorry Rich. We can't let you off too easy.I know you joked about the Subaru but my wife’s RAV4 that we got last year has really grown on me. No hybrid shit or turbo just a four cylinder. Has a lot of space. Awesome ride and easy to get in and out of. I would trade in my Colorado in two seconds and get one for myself if she let me lol.
That's something to look into...Honest question because I have not looked lately. I know Ram was having lots of issues with lifters on the 5.7 Hemi. Anyone know if they ever got that fixed on the new ones?
Picked one up a few weeks ago. 6.4 Hemi. My mechanic made it sound like routine maintenance anymore. Just expect $2-3k by 100,000 miles in maintenance for lifters. Mine had cam and lifters done 10k miles ago which was good to hear.Honest question because I have not looked lately. I know Ram was having lots of issues with lifters on the 5.7 Hemi.
